Bottle Shock: Here Comes the Next Sideways

Bottle Shock, the movie inspired by the true story of Calistoga's Chateau Montelena, the winery which was brought back to life by passionate amateur wine producer, Jim Barrett, and the first place that his wine took at the famed 1976, Paris Wine Tasting. On that occasion, wines from California beat out French wines at home, in a historic blind tasting whose results, which also surprised the international jurors, put California wines on the world map at once and almost single handedly.
